Vail Welcomes Four Freshmen at Opening Practice

Charles B. Aycock head coach Luke Vail had 11 players out for the first practice on Monday, February 14th, including four freshmen.   Coach Vail is returning for his fourth stint at the helm of the men's program at the school.  This will be his 20th season as the men's head coach.   "We are a very inexperienced team with only our number three and five players back, but I feel we have the potential to be a good team over the last half of the season," said Vail.   The Golden Cougars won the Eastern Carolina Conference title last year and advanced to the second round of the dual team state playoffs.
