New Hanover Tops Dutch Fork in Preseason Scrimmage

Wilmington New Hanover, coached by David Henry, traveled to Columbia, South Carolina on Friday, February 19th for a preseason scrimmage against Dutch Fork High School.   The Wildcats, ranked number nine in the 4-A preseason poll, came away with a 5-1 victory.   The match was played using the the South Carolina format of five singles and one doubles (if the match is tied at 3-3 at the end, a #1 doubles match is played for the tiebreak).     New Hanover's Sammy Kohl prevailed at number one singles in the most exciting match of the day 13-11 in a third set tiebreak.
