Mariners Fielding Squad of 18 on the Coast

East Carteret High School head coach Nick Theuner, who runs a No-Cut high school team with pride, will keep 18 on his squad this year.   The Mariner return nine players from the 2010 squad, including all six starters.   The 2010 team posted a record of 3-9, but four of the losses were by the score of 5-4.  Theuner is starting his fifth season at the school.   "Since we are the only school in our conference with a men's tennis team, we will have to play some very good competition.   Despite having to play higher class schools, East should fare pretty well this season.  I am very optimistic about this year," said Theuner.
