Maiden Returns Four Starters

Maiden High School head coach Jon Huffman has four starters returning from his 2015 squad and two talented freshmen coming in.   "Practice is going well so far, but we still haven't had a full roster on the court yet," said Coach Huffman.

"We had nine girls come out for the team.  One starter from last year tore her ACL cheerleading and can't play this season.   It's a pretty big loss for us as she was a freshman who played number five last year," said Huffman.

Coach Huffman's top returnee is his daughter, sophomore Zoey Huffman who won the 2-A singles title last year.   "I think we can be pretty good this year, but we must stay healthy and become experienced quickly.   Seven of our nine girls have experience.    I think our top four will be sophomore, freshman, sophomore, freshman with two seniors and another sophomore nipping at their heels," commented Huffman.
